About Andrew Hodges

Andrew is a violinist, composer and music arranger. He began his music career at the Royal Academy of Music subsequently running music departments in London schools. In doing so he was one of a group of music teachers who implemented music improvisation into the school curriculum. He then switched careers to find success in corporate sales for Xerox before going on to work as an independent international trainer delivering courses across the UK, Europe and China in the Art and Science of Negotiation.

At the start of the new millennium, he became joint owner of a retreat centre in Normandy, offering yoga retreats and string quartet workshops. As hobbies he loves astrophotography and drone photography which he uses in his music videos.

In his recently published book, "Mastering Chaos: A Musician's Guide To Navigating Complexity" he explains that musical performance and creativity make it easier to see how well people can work together when given the right circumstances. From his experience as both a musician and a corporate coach, Andrew shows how music can reveal the hidden dynamics of human collaboration. Most informatively, employing "The Musician's Way" model throws light, not only on how we humans can work better together, but also explores what happens when human interactions turn toxic and how we humans might respond more productively.

Andrew's time is now spent leading a string quartet, violin tuition, and composing & arranging music for bowed stringed instruments. He is also the Founder & Editor of Sound Forum one of the world's leading music improvisation, sound healing & sound therapy websites.
